I love, love, love that I was able to kick off 2010 with an engagement session like this one! Full of laughter, full of fun, full of GORGEOUSNESS!! I mean seriously…just look at Jen, B.EAU.TI.FUL!! I had such a great time climbing through the weeds, dry brush, and dodging that coyote with you guys! I cannot wait for your big day at Spanish Hills Country Club later this year, I just know its going to be fabulous!!!
Aside from the portraits of the bride and groom on a wedding day, I love the stolen moments in between. I am a sucker for romance, emotion and good times! As I was sifting through the images from 2010 for this post…I totally confirmed this! I love the moments right before the bride is getting ready to walk down the isle, putting on her finishing touches before going to see her soon to be husband for the first time on their wedding day. I love the emotion that takes over during a father daughter dance. I love the romance and joy that radiates from a couple during their first dance. The joy of the ‘offical’ husband and wife announcement. And of course I love a good celebration full of dancing, family and friends.

2010 brought me so much joy and happiness! I spent so many amazing days surrounded by love, happiness and joy last year! I truly feel so blessed to be able to do what I love and love what I do! Back in July I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Michelle and Steven in New York with the wonderful Caryn of Eikon Photography. Not only are Michelle and Steven wonderful and amazing people, but their families are equally awesome! Their wedding was simply fabulous! We started the day at Michelle’s parents home in Long Island, NY were were photographed all of the preparation part of the day along with some beautiful portraits of Michelle and her family. Then off to the church, where they had a beautiful ceremony while surrounded by their family and friends. After the Ceremony there was a small break in the day before the reception, however, Caryn and I were sure to put all of this ‘down’ time to good use. Michelle and Steven were such troopers allowing us to shoot (and shoot, and shoot, and shoot) to our hearts content. Once the reception started, the real party got underway. Everyone danced the night away celebrating the love of Michelle and Steven….it was awesome!
Caryn, Michelle and Steven…thank you SO much for such an amazing time in New York. Your families are fabulous and made me feel just like family from the first moment I met all of you! I wish you nothing but the best in the future…I know you are going to have a fabulous life together.

As an added bonus we were lucky enough to meet and enjoy the music of Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge, the Doo Wop, R&B, Pop, Rock band from Long Island, NY. Steven’s dad is the first tenor for the group and band manager, Les Cauchi. You know those little hits, “Sixteen Candles” and “The Worst That Could Happen”?? Well both of those hits (and many others) are by Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge, hearing them sing them live was pretty aweseome!

Wedding Season has been A.MA.ZING! I feel so ridiculously blessed to be as busy as I am, as busy as I have been, and as busy as the future will be. Unfortunately, with all the craziness of wedding season my poor blog has been left neglected. Im so very sorry internet….I promise to try and be better about sharing with you in the future. Never-the-less, its time for a little catch up….okay lot’s of catch up .
Justin and Casey were married at Los Robles Golf Course in Thousand Oaks. Can I just say that Casey totally knew what she wanted for her wedding and brought everything together wonderfully! Justin and Casey requested that all of their guests wear black and white to the wedding. Every single guest came dressed as they requested….and Casey wow’d everyone when she walked down the isle in a breath taking Maggie Sottero RED wedding gown! She looked absolutely stunning and to see her in her red dress surrounded by a sea of black and white was fabulous! I also need to send out a special thank you to the amazing team at Los Robles Golf course. Their staff was phenominal and a HUGE pleasure to work with!

The beautiful wedding of Erica and David took place a few weeks ago at one of my favorite locations for a wedding…Maravilla Gardens in Camarillo. Erica and David are so much fun I seriously couldnt wait for their big day, I just knew it was going to be a blast…and boy was I right. They were surrounded by so many awesome friends and family on their big day that made the event even better!

I met up with Angie and Michael a few weeks ago at Paramount Ranch for their engagement session. Like myself, Angie and Michael are both used to being behind the camera….not in front of the camera. So they were a bit nervous for their session. I must admit…nervous or not, I think they did fabulous in front of the camera and have no reason to shy away from the front of the lens! I cannot wait for their wedding later this year at Maravilla Gardens. I know its going to be a spectacular event!
